The Film Entitled “One Night In Vegas” is poised to raise the bar of quality in the genre known as Nollywood. The film has been widely publicised on the front page of THE WASHINGTON POST, VOICE OF AMERICA , CCTV, CHANNEL 9 NEWS and many others affiliates as a landmark film setting a new standard of excellence. Nollywood, the 3rd largest film Producer in the world, is an emerging and trending avenue from the African diaspora offering a new fresh vision of cinema much like Bollywood. Films Like One Night In Vegas offer a higher production value, more universally appealing quality and seek to tap into the global market opening a door for this currently $800 million dollar a year business that is still widely unknown throughout the western world.
The film plays this month at the UNITED NATIONS(UN) in NYC and EL FESTIVAL DE CINE GLOBAL DOMINICANO in Santo Domingo in NOVEMBER 15th 2013 before its official release in Ghana and Nigeria Theaters in early 2014. Koby Maxwell, a Ghanaian music and film producer teamed up with Nigerian Born director John Uche and American Born Cinematographer Black Magic Tim, to produce the film.
The story focuses on a couple who try to better their relationship with a trip to Las Vegas, but what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas.
