Being the owner of an NBA team and helping to produce the association’s official video game might be considered a conflict of interest but for Jay-Z, exceptions are made. The entertainment mogul and minority owner of the newly-located Brooklyn Nets is partnering with 2K Sports to produce NBA 2K13. USA Today reports he’ll have input across the board, from the soundtrack to crowd reactions. He’s really excited about the project too, saying he’s “ready to usher in the new era of the [NBA2K] franchise.” The game will be released in October, just before tip-off for the new season.
